Carrie Thompson is the mom of 4 amazing children and the wife of an awesome husband for almost 30 years. She loves hiking, the beach and going on outdoor adventures with her family. After fostering and adopting,  she became passionate about supporting families who foster and the children in their care. She strives to bring awareness about foster care everywhere she goes.

Melinda Graham
Provisions Program Manager

Melinda Graham is excited to be joining the Family Room staff as the Provisions Program Manager. She has been involved with Family Room since its inception including serving as a founding board member and frequent volunteer.Melinda is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) having graduated with a Master’s of Science in Counseling from UNCG in 2015. She joined Family Solutions, a local practice, as a counselor in 2016 specializing in play therapy. Much of Melinda’s work is with children and their families, but she sees clients of all ages. Melinda enjoys time with her family and is active in her church. When not working, she can likely be found reading or watching movies

Maci Feather
Social Media Specialist

Maci Feather is the mom of 2 littles, one little girl and one on the way! She has been with her high school sweetheart for almost 9 years and married for 3 years. Maci got her Bachelor’s in Social Work and has always had a passion about helping children in care. Maci enjoys spending her free time being with her family, reading and being outdoors. She is so excited to be apart of the staff at Family Room and watching it continue to grow.

Gabby Reklau
Administrative Assistant

Gabrielle (Gabby) Reklau has been volunteering with Family Room since 2019 and has always enjoyed connecting with the families as she served them in the Resource Center. She is currently pursuing her Master in Education in Instructional Technology and will be graduating in December 2022. She has always had a passion for helping others, especially children, and was ecstatic to accept a staff position at Family Room. In addition to serving at Family Room, she is also a Makers Ed Teacher at Greensboro Day School. When she isn’t serving in the Family Room or teaching at GDS, she is at home with her husband and three dogs. She enjoys watching tv, playing video games and board games, crafting, and baking.
